Hotel San Felipe is a family-run enterprise with a truly international flavor. You will feel equally comfortable speaking English or Spanish. Felipe is Swiss, with strong ties to Canada and the United States. His wife Linda has spent most of her life in Melaque, and their daughter Venecia, was born here.
Felipe and Linda are both acquainted with local politics, and they are an excellent source of information on local events and activities that can make your visit a unique Mexican experience.
Chula is the family's 13 year old macaw. She acts as doorbell, porter, and watch dog, but you can easily bribe her with a few nuts. She will open your beer - if you let her keep the bottle cap. Jack is the hotelīs racoon mascot. He appreciates leftovers, and he will wash them carefully, bean by bean, providing a unique source of entertainment.
